I Was Guilty of The Shoemaker’s Children Syndrome

Sep 23, 2020

Writing this is a bit embarrassing, it’s personal and vulnerable!

If you follow my stuff, you may know me as someone who can help people get unstuck with their beliefs and emotions through combining coaching and The Body Code.

Which, is true…and makes it even more embarrassing to share that for MONTHS I had been struggling with the belief “no one wants to hear what I have to say"

It’s what’s prevented me from sending out emails and writing blog posts.

I’ve reluctantly been posting on social media.

All because I was believing “no one wants to hear what I have to say!”

For some reason I didn’t bother to use The Body Code on myself to clear out that belief.

I was guilty of the Shoemaker’s Children Syndrome.

It’s a term that refers to an old proverb that tells of a shoemaker who was so busy making shoes for his customers that his wife and kids went shoeless.

The moral of the story is to be careful not neglect ourselves (or those we love) while we care for others.

I’ve been using the Body Code to help my clients clear out stuff that’s preventing them from believing things like:

♥️ “It’s ok to love myself as I am”

♥️ “I’m deserve for my company to be successful”

♥️ “It’s safe to be financially abundant”

♥️ “I deserve to have love”

But wasn’t doing the work on myself.

So…I hired a Body Code practitioner to have someone help ME work release my stuff (about time Heather!) and guess what?

This stuff works! (I know because I’m writing you now)!

There were trapped emotions of worthlessness, fear that I inherited from my dad that went back 5 generations and some other gunk….it was heavy!

Glad that sh*t is gone!

What about you? I want to hear from you...

Are you suffering from the Shoemaker’s Children Syndrome?

Are there area’s that you’ve been neglecting yourself while you’ve been caring for others?

Tell me, I want to hear about it!
