Use This Simple Process to De-Stress!

In my last blog post I talked about the 5 different “bodies” we have and how using them for a framework can help you make quick changes when you are struggling (let’s be real, this past year, we’ve each struggled in some way!) so you can go back to your life, business, and relationships with energy and peace.

For a review, they are:

Physical body --this is the one we live in, the skin, bones, and everything else. 

Emotional Body--this is the body we FEEL in. It’s the level at which we experience and store many emotions — happy, sad, guilty, or fearful.

Energetic Body-- this is the body of subtle energy flows—think along the lines of meridians and chakras (energy centers).

Mental Body-- this is our mind ~ what you think, believe, value, how you perceive yourself and the world.

Spiritual Body--this is your soul ~ the connection to God, Universe, or whichever higher being that you believe in.

I said I’d share some questions you can ask in each of the bodies to get more clarity to help you move from stuck to aligned...which means feeling good (I definitely recommend printing them out or putting them somewhere in your phone so you can pull them up quickly when feeling stressed).


But...before I share those questions, I wanted to share this with you 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻




It REALLY is a simple, easy framework to use whenever you are feeling “off” to figure out what needs to be you can shift in you how you are feeling.


This list is not exhaustive by any means, just a start to get you thinking about how you can create shifts in each area.


Typically, going through these questions (below) and applying what you come up with can create massive shifts.

Physical Body


  • How have I been feeding myself lately?
    • Am I eating processed foods or foods that are whole and living?
    • Am I consuming alcohol and substances that stress my body?
  • What’s my sleep like? 
    • Am I staying away from screens at least an hour before bedtime?
    • Do I have a consistent bedtime and wake-up time?
  • Have I been moving in a way that supports my body?
  • Is there something I’m doing that’s making me feel bad (too much screen time, mold, allergies etc..)?
  • Do I need some time in nature?

Emotional Body


  • Am I allowing myself to Acknowledge my feelings without judgement?
  • Am I allowing myself to be ok with the feelings I am having them (without pushing them down)?
  • Am I accepting that I am feeling this way without making it wrong AND also not sulking in the feelings?
  • What am I doing to create the emotions I desire?
    • Am I watching/listening to things that inspire or deplete my emotions?
    • Am around people that uplift me or bring me down?
    • Am I feeding myself in a way that allows me to have easier control over my emotions (things like sugar, dairy and alcohol make it harder to control our emotions).


Energetic Body


  • Do I need to have  some form of energy work done on me to move anything stuck? (here are some ideas):

    • Healing Touch
    • Qigong
    • Crystal Healing 
    • Reiki 
    • Massage
    • Plant medicine 
    • Acupuncture
    • Meditation
    • Breathwork

Mental Body


  • Do I need to take a  t.v. /social media break?
  • What thoughts do I continue to subscribe to that keep me in a loop?
  • What beliefs could I put on pause just to experiment and see what life could be like?
  • Am I questioning my beliefs:
    • “Is it 100% true?” 
    • Who would I be without that thought?
    • What needs to happen so that I feel safe to let this thought go?


Spiritual Body

  • Does my soul/body need intentional BreathWork?
  • Do I need to be in nature without my devices?
  • Am I nourishing my physical body so that my soul feels light?
  • Do I need to allow myself to just sit, be still, listen?
  • Do I need time to focus on giving to others?
  • What would be nurturing to my soul (i.e. what feels light, easy, and connects me to my higher source?)
    • Journalling, listening to music, taking a bath, praying?
    • Acts of service/charity
