I’ve been back in the states for a few days and have been attempting to put together my thoughts about what I experienced swimming with the dolphins….(see pic at the bottom--yup, that's me!)
There is so much that I experienced on this trip but I thought I’d share with you my biggest take-away from this “live life to the fullest” experience.
To put into words what it’s like to be in the water with wild dolphins swimming around you is almost impossible.
The way that WildQuest operates is that they go out on a catamaran each day looking for wild dolphins...and because they are wild, you don’t know what you will experience.
Wildquest believes we are in their world and interact as visitors.
Like anything in the wild, sometimes you can find them, sometimes you don’t (even if you don’t, you’ll get some great time exploring the underworld through snorkeling)!
We saw dolphins 3 out of the 5 days.
The first day we saw a LARGE POD, unfortunately, I was pretty seasick 🤢 ~ I was going to get into the water when they said we could but suddenly, my stomach had a different idea & I barely made it to a bucket to “release” into….oh well (good news is I wasn’t sick the rest of the week).
The other 2 days we saw them I was able to get in the water with them.
When I saw them swimming by me and looking me in the eyes and it was….
...words like spectacular, amazing, and breath-taking come to mind but really, they don’t do it justice.
Their beauty, majesty and presence is remarkable.
Interesting Dolphin Fact:
Dolphins are conscious breathers, meaning, unlike humans, who breathe even if we are under anesthesia, they have to intentionally breathe (they can not be put to sleep as it would kill them).
So they are ALWAYS present in the moment.
That was one of the great reminders of this trip--that BREATHING is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE CAN EVER DO.
When we are upset...breathe.
When we are excited...breath.
When we feel hurt...breathe.
When we feel anxious...breathe.
When we feel overwhelmed...breathe
When we feel panicked....breath.
When we feel sad..breath.
It’s so simple, yet it truly is the answer to everything.
We have nothing more than the breath that we are taking at that moment and it is such a gift.
Everything we do in life ~ business, money, relationships ~ are all dependent upon us breathing.
If you haven’t taken a conscious breath yet today, I invite you to take a deep inhale, hold it for 3 seconds and exhale.
It’s the best thing you can do for your life, your business, your relationships with people AND money and your personal well being!
